We will hold our annual Wildcat 101 for new employees this Wednesday and Thursday. This is a great opportunity for us to welcome our new employees to the district. We take them on a tour of Central and of our schools, we have lunch together, and we try to make the day fun and upbeat as we welcome our new employees. We have Kagan Cooperative Learning Professional Development coming up in two weeks. This PD helps teachers learn to better engage students in instruction and work collaboratively with their peers. We are beginning the final two weeks of our summer program partnering with BREC. As a reminder, this program involves students in kindergarten through 2nd grades. We are excited to build this partnership with BREC. CIS is continuing their summer enrichment camp this week and next. This camp is helping address learning loss and preparing these students for the next grade. The camp involves fifty-five 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. CMS will host summer reading camp this month. This targeted program is geared to increasing literacy development in our middle school students. All Open House dates are posted on our website and our Facebook page. I know parents are excited that our Open House this year will be in-person events. Summer Registration has begun in earnest. We have been very busy with new registrations and will have updated numbers for July committee meetings. Construction Updates: BHE - interior painting is nearing completion - hallways & classrooms. All classrooms and hallways should be completed by end of July. Old T-buildings have been removed, new T-Buildings will be installed over the coming weeks; TES - bid went out last week; CHS - on track for completion. Our next committee Meetings will be held on Wednesday, July 28th.
